Allstyle Timber Vertical Sliding Sash Windows

Allstyle timber vertical sliding windows are designed to replicate the traditional timber ‘box sash’ windows of yesteryear. Manufactured from timber harvested from sustainable sources our windows use modern technology to produce a fully weatherproof double hung sash timber window that is suitable for use in new build properties as well as replacements.

Hardware and fittings

Our vertical sliders incorporate adjustable factory fitted spring and spiral balances for easy installation and operation. Two hook lifts, a non-locking fitch fastener and one sash lock are fitted as standard. Locking fitch fasteners are available as an option.

Window splits can be 50/50, 40/60 or 33/67 to suit your requirements and all upper sashes are fitted with swept horns as standard with the option of horns to the bottom sashes or no sashes.

Concealed trickle ventilators are fitted within the frame head eliminating unsightly hoods outside.

Allstyle vertical sliding timber sash windows are fully compliant to Doc L of the Building Regulations for England and Wales.

Construction

Our timber vertical sliding sash windows are manufactured from laminated quality redwood as standard. Optional Sapela hardwood is also available on request.

All timber components are treated with preservative applied by means of a double vacuum process in accordance with BS 5589 and NHBC recommendations. A 30 year guarantee against rot or fungal decay is provided.

Factory applied decorative finishes are available.

Warranties

• 30 Years against rot and fungal attack
• 10 Years against glazing system failure
• 10 Years against manufacturing defects
• 5 Years on all ironmongery

A coating warranty of 8 years for opaque finishes and 5 years for stain finishes on products fully factory finished is also provided.

Glazing

Windows are factory glazed with 22mm Low E double glazed sealed units and timber beads are fitted all round to simulate putty lines. Black or white glazing tapes are available to suit particular decorative finishes.

Performance

Allstyle timber vertical sliders are factory fitted with an easy to slide weather-strip that provides not only a water-tight seal but high levels of energy efficiency and a smooth, rattle-free operation.

Independently tested to BS 6375 part1, achieving a ‘2,400 Special’ exposure category and the following pressure class ratings:

• Air Permeability 600pa
• Water Tightness 300pa
• Wind Resistance 2,400pa
